Shepard House was designed by Alfredo Taylor for Frederick Shepard, one of Norfolk's most generous benefactors. Built in the early nineteen hundreds, the 4,745 square foot house is "constructed of materials Taylor loved: rubble-stone walls, diamond-paned windows, dark chestnut siding.
